Darnell School Farm

One acre, one farmer, growing cut flowers, herbs, and vegetables on a small slice of farm land located on the eastern edge of Posey County.  Kathy has a wide selection of locally grown cut-flowers and greenery are available May through October. She offers 4 and 8 week bouquet subscriptions and is a vendor at the Historic Newburgh Farmers Market. You can also find her flowers locally at Outside the Gift Box on Main Street in Evansville and in local Schnuck’s stores.  Custom bouquets and DIY Buckets are available direct from the farm. Fun flower themed classes available.

She also has specialty tomatoes, garlic, basil, and assorted herbs, available direct from the farm with selected items available on http://www.localsourceswi.com/

Each day brings the reminder of the rich farming history of the surrounding lands and of simpler times as the original one-room Darnell School, constructed in 1890, still stands just to the southeast of the farm. From this, Kathy strives to care for our land and environment as it deserves to be cared for and to grow for you the best mother nature has to offer. Call or visit anytime.

Darnell School Farm is a member of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers where they strive to educate, unite, and support commercial cut flower growers across north America.  They do this by providing production and marketing information; connecting members through events and communications; supporting floriculture research; and encouraging the purchase and use of locally grown flowers by the public.  Their mission is to help growers produce high-quality floral material, and to foster and promote the local availability of that product.
